This brochure provides some examples of misuse of third-party marks of conformity, which is implied when requirements of ISO/IEC 17030, Conformity assessment — General requirements for third-party marks of conformity, are not met. Misuse includes inappropriate use by authorized or unauthorized issuers and/or users, and any use by unauthorized persons or entities. It covers examples of misuse for certification marks issued by certification bodies for products, including services and processes, management systems and personnel, and accreditation marks.
