State Enterprise “Ukrainian Scientific Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems” (hereinafter referred to as SE “UkrNDNC”) was formed by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №.1337 dated 21 August 2003.

In accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1163  dd. 26.11.2014 “On defining the state-owned enterprise to act as a National Standards Body”, the functions of  NSB are performed by the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Scientific Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems” (SE “UkrNDNC”). 

SE “UkrNDNC” is the leading standardization organization in Ukraine recognized at national, international and European levels.

SE “UkrNDNC”  represents the interests of Ukraine in International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (ІЕС) as a full member and is a companion standardization body to European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It is also signatory (as NSO) of the MoU with European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

According to ISO Council Resolution 31/2015, acronym of NSB of Ukraine is DSTU.
